Simple Practice Client Portal FAQ

For existing clients of Mackenzie Callis (Todd Sprague is now using TherapyNotes)

Simple Practice is a little different than Luminello. You will not need to create a username or password to access your client portal. Instead, Simple Practice will send a new “sign in” link to your email every time you request to access the portal.

Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to use basic features of the Simple Practice Client Portal.

How to sign in to the client portal:

​

  • Option 1: You may access the portal by clicking on the “Sign In” button included in a previous email from Simple Practice

​

  • Option 2: You may search for this website by Googling “Sprague Counseling and Consulting” (our website is www.spraguecounseling.com). Once you're on this website, click on “Existing Client Portal” (this will be visible on the menu bar at the top of our website, or if you are on a mobile device, from the “hamburger” menu icon)

  • Option 3: You may download the “Simple Practice Client Portal” app to your mobile device. Search for "Simple Practice Client Portal" in the app store (the client app has a green icon with a white butterfly). You will receive an email every time you request to sign in to the app

 

How to request an appointment:

  1. Sign in to the client portal

  2. Click on the “Menu” button in the top right corner

  3. Click “Request Appointment" (or click "Appointments", then "Request Now” under “New appointment?”)

  4. Select “Med Followup (Telehealth)”

  5. Select the location (this may appear as “Telehealth with Oregon billing address” or “Telehealth with Alaska billing address” but it does not matter which location you choose - everything is via telehealth, and the location only matters for administrative/billing purposes)

  6. Select a day (days with available appointments are highlighted)

  7. Select an appointment time (please note: the time should display in your local time zone). You may toggle between morning, afternoon, and evening appointment times

  8. Request the appointment

  9. You will receive a confirmation notification when we approve your request

How to send me a secure message:

  1. Sign in to the client portal

  2. Click on the message icon in the top right corner to the left of the “Menu” button (it looks like a conversation bubble)

How to pay an invoice:

  1. Sign in to the client portal

  2. Click on the “Menu” button in the top right corner

  3. Select “Billing and Payments”

  4. If you need to update your payment method, select “Payment Method”, then “+New Card”

How to send me a document:

  1. Sign in to the client portal

  2. Click on the “Menu” button in the top right corner

  3. Select “Documents”

  4. Upload a file under “My Uploads”

​
